WHAT ARE THE SALARIES IN KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA?

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan  is a autonomous school educational system  under the  Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

In Kendriya Vidyalay  teachers are classified under three divisions:
 
1. PGT-Post Graduate Teacher 2. TGT- Trained Graduate Teacher 3. PRT -Primary Teacher

1. PGT-Post Graduate Teacher: 
    Scale of Pay: a] PB-:9300-34800
    Grade Pay : 4800 (Entry Level)
    Grade Pay : 5400 (Senior Level) 
    Grade Pay : 6600 (Selection Scale)

Essential Qualifications for PGT-Post Graduate Teacher:
a). Two years’ Integrated Post Graduate Master Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject; Or  Master Degree from a recognized University with atleast 50%  marks in aggregate.
b). B.Ed. or equivalent degree from recognized university

                     
2. TGT- Trained Graduate Teacher
    Scale of Pay: a] PB-:9300-34800
    Grade Pay : 4600 (Entry Level)
    Grade Pay : 4800 (Senior Level) 
    Grade Pay : 5400 (Selection Scale)

Essential Qualifications for TGT- Trained Graduate Teacher
a) Four years’ Integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the  concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate ;  OR  Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects/ combination of subjects and in aggregate
b) Pass in the Central  Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.    
                               
3. PRT- Primary Teacher
    Scale of Pay: a] PB-:9300-34800
    Grade Pay : 4200 (Entry Level)
    Grade Pay : 4600 (Senior Level) 
    Grade Pay : 4800 (Selection Scale)

Essential Qualifications for PRT- Primary Teacher 
a) Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent.
b) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines   framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
